What the dragon balls are...
The Dragon Balls are seven mystical balls which, when gathered
together, will call forth the Eternal Dragon who will grant a
single wish. Each of the balls has a number of red stars inside it
corresponding to the number of the ball and when several balls are
gathered together they glow. The Dragon Ball story begins with
Bulma searching for a third Dragon Ball, when she meets a young
boy, Goku. He has the four star ball, which he keeps to remind him
of his Grandpa Gohan. The pair team up and the adventure of a
lifetime begins. Using Bulma's Dragon Radar they quickly find the
remaining balls, meeting many new friends along the way. After all
the balls are gathered together, the Eternal Dragon, Shenlong, is
called, granting a single wish.
The characters of this cache...
Goku... In the original series Son Goku is first seen as
a young boy living in the wilderness. He is seemingly normal except
for his ignorance of the world, his great strength, and his tail.
As the Dragon Ball series
progresses, he accompanies Bulma as
she scours the world, searching for the seven Dragon Balls.
Bulma... Bulma is the second (after Son Goku) character to be introduced
in the series. In the early part of the plot, she is the one that
has invented a Dragon Radar and is searching for the
legendary Dragon Balls. She finds that Goku inherited one of the
balls (the four-star ball) from his Grandpa Gohan. At
that point, they team up to find the remainder of the balls and
the adventure begins.
