Geocache Description:

This is a small cache located a short walk form the weighbridge with wonderful views along Jerseys South coast. Closer parking is available if you dont fancy the walk.

This area was once known as Le Petit Mont de la Ville and was a fortified outwork of Fort Regent named South Hill Battery. Mounted at the site where several 6” guns but these were removed in 1928 when the land was given back to the parish of St. Helier.

During the Second World War it was developed further by the German occupying forces due to its vantage point over looking the harbour. These defences are still present today.

The cache is a small mico container with a logbook so please BYO pen.
