Geocache Description:

Our son John not getting a nibble at the lake back in 1979

Actually, Wyandotte County Lake is a great place to fish. Stocked annually, the fishing is good nearly year-round.
Once, raising fish in their own fish-rearing pond, they now have it stocked with a generous amount of rainbow trout, crappie, channel cat, walleye, and bass raised in fish farms. This is an article by 'Great Plains Game & Fish' about the crappie fishing here.

The geocache is located a short hike down a wide gravel path. You are looking for a tackle-box sized rubbermaid container. It contains tackle for your fishing-related trades. Be careful and you won't get wet!

So, bring your GPSr and a pole to cache and catch!
Fishing permits are required to fish here.
The park is open from 6am-midnight. Permission was granted to place this cache.
