A pleasant paddle on scenic, Split Rock Reservoir. The cache can be reached without leaving the boat, well at least if your boat is a canoe. Kayakers may have a bit of difficulty.
Put-in is at the parking area on Split Rock Road just west of the dam.
Some people also put in along Charlotteburg Road, but you need a high clearance vehicle to get in there. It would cut about 4 RT miles off your paddle if you can.
There is a bit of poison ivy near the cache, so be careful. Be sure to re-hide it well, so passing boaters don't see it.
