Geocache Description:

A small cache on a steep portion of path part way between the river and the upper ridge. This is for hikers only it is unsuitable for anything with wheels.

1L Nalgene water bottle. Will hold small items. It is on a recently opened path. No need to bushwhack but the path gets quite steep in some parts. When the leaves are out it may be hard to get a good fix.

There are plenty of other caches in the vicinity you could make a day of it.

Park at N 43° 48.330 W 079° 08.190. There is a good parking lot. You can't miss the paved path that heads to the river. Cross the bridge and head left. Several hundred yards and you have a choice, go right up the ridge then follow the path and your GPS. If you take the left hand path it will follow close to the river through a meadow and then up a steep path. Better yet make a circle route. We have often seen deer in this area.

You should not need to bushwhack from either route. There is Poison Ivy off the path and this area was closed for a long time for regeneration. There should be no bicycles on the ridge.

This might be hazardous in the winter if there is ice on the path. Use caution.
