FSU*Noles: Well regretfully, I think I'll let this one go. There are way too many muggle footprints in the snow, big and small, all over and around this geobeacon - I don't think the replacement cache will survive. It bums me out, as I like this particular spot, but what can ya do? :( Thanks to all the visitors!

Geocache Description:

A quick and easy Kids and Family-friendly cache, along the banks of the Mississippi River!

Cache Details

This cache is located in West Bridge Park, adjacent to the Mississippi River Fishing Pier, in the lovely City of Monticello. Besides being a nice spot to watch the river, this spot was chosen for the convenient parking and access, and because of the close proximity to I-94. We hope this cache is a safe haven for toys, trinkets, and travel bugs - as well as a nice quick diversion for road-weary travellers passing through the area!
Location, Parking, and Access

Ample free and legal parking is available at the West Bridge Park main parking lot, along Walnut Street. You might be able to find even closer parking around the corner, where it turns into a one-way street, but hey - 225 feet is close enough, no need to get greedy! :)

From the lot, follow the trails right to the cache location. You're looking for a small .30-cal Ammo Box, hidden in a painfully obvious spot. At certain times of the year, there will be lots of muggles about - hopefully the actual location will give you some cover as you swap goodies and rehide the cache, but some stealth will definitely be required. The cache starts out with small toys and trinkets, hand-selected by the 'Noles kidlets from their own personal collection. As always, have fun and happy hunting!
