Geocache Description:


Up on the Buberget mountain in the northern part of Borlänge lived a notorious robber during the 16th century. He lived in a cave with his wolf and his snake. He assult people who was travelling along the road at the foot of the mountain nearby Möckelmyran. As the legend was told he killed them who did'nt gave him what he wanted. People who lived in neighbourhood at last found out where the robber lived. They gathered a big crowed of people and went up to his cave. They surrounded the cave where Per Gynt stayed. Fires was lighted in each entrance of the cave in purpose to smoke him out. First out was the wolf who escaped out in the woods. The snake was beat to death as soon as it came out. Finally came Per Gynt out of the cave. They captured him and he was hanged on a hill nearby the cave. There's still a gallow on this hill in memorial of the once feared robber......... If you have coffee with you I recommend you to take a walk to the gallow. There's a table and a terrific view.



Uppe på Buberget i Borlänges norra delar höll den ökände rövaren Per Gynt till under 1500-talet. Han bodde där i en stor grotta. Han överföll resande längs vägen som då gick vid sidan av möckelmyran intill bergets fot. Till sin hjälp hade han en stor hund som likväl kunde varit en varg och en orm som han lärt upp. Enligt sägnen slog han ihjäl dem som inte gav honom det han ville ha. Folk i bygden kom tillslut på vart han höll till och då kallade man ihop allt folk i bygden och lyckades omringa honom uppe i grottan. Först lär vargen kommit ut ur grottan och flydde sedan till skogs. Därefter kom ormen som man lyckades slå ihjäl. Rövaren, Per Gynt, försökte själv smita ut genom en annan av grottans utgångar men fångades och hängdes på en bergknalle intill. På den platsen står än idag en galge till minne av rövaren...... Har Ni med er kaffe rekommenderar vi en promenad till galgen. Där finns ett bord och en magnifik utsikt.
