ragbag: I was out at the cache today to replace the log, and see that the area has been posted as private property, so I have removed the container and am archiving this cache. Thanks to al who have visited this location and learned a little bit about the history of the area.

Located near the Historical marker honoring Oliver Daunais at Stanley.
Oliver Daunais, "The Silver King", was a prospector who, in 1882, discovered the Rabbit Mountain Mine, as well as the Beaver and Badger Mines near Stanley. He later moved to Port Arthur, and played a leading role in the early development of that community.
The cache is a 35mm film container hidden in a tree not far from the marker. Parking is available at the marker.
Please be aware that this is supposedly private property, and a dog has been buried in the clump of trees. Please treat the area with respect when you are searching.
While you are in the area, why not try for the Stanley Bur Cache (GCYCFE) placed by NorthernSeals.
