Geocache Description:

This cache is in the Mianus River State Park. You can park at the co-ordinates listed below or at any of the other entrances to the park.

As you walk down the trail to this cache, you will see a lightly wooded meadow on your right. When I was growing up, this was a lake most of the time. Sometimes it was a very wet swamp. My brother used to play ice hockey there in the winter. At the end of the trail, you can see the dam that used to keep the water in the lake. Many years ago, the lake was slowly drained, and it has been reclaimed by the forest.

The cache is a little ways beyond the end of the Dam Road trail. It is a smaller Rubbermaid container with room for small items only.
