Geocache Description:

Long bike ride or walk from nearest parking over level ground on horse trails.

Parking can be had near the entrance gates to Border Field State Park or past the guardshack at the horse corrals located at the far west end of Monument Road when the park is open. Please stay on trails and avoid bush-wacking; there are sensitive habitat signs in the area as you head out to the cache. The park is officially open on the weekends during the hours of daylight. After a rain shower, this area may be difficult to get to due to mud.

Cache is located at pretty much the farthest northwest accessible trail south of the TJ River you can go a little farther, but not too much. Ride or walk out to here gives a different perspective on the views in the park area. There are normally quite a few horse riders as well as bird-watchers out here on the weekends.
