Geocache Description:

Almost a Pirate's Treasure

Here it was "Talk Like a Pirate Day", and who should I bump into but a couple of U.P.s - Unemployed Pirates!! They were looking fer their next "job"... I interviewed them - interesting fellows... What could I get them to do? Well, the only thing I could think they could handle was marking my next geocache, you know - with a big Pirate-style "X". But wait, how would they find it? With a GPSr, of course! I gave them the coordinates, and off they went. They returned some hours later smelling of rum, but confident they had "marked" the spot. (They kept going on about a light rail, "Land Lubbers" and somebody named Hazel...) A few days later, I made it out to the cache location, only to find that my U.P.s missed the cache by about 20 feet! Arrrg! I said, but the deed was done. I had forgotten to tell them that once their GPSr "zeroed out" that they might be as much as 20ft away. That was Guido's slip up.

2022 Update: The years have not shown favor on the pirate's X, which is no longer there... so now providing a new orientation that involves a specific parking spot in the adjacent lot. Use the given coordinates to be positioned for a view of the cache from 30 or 40 ft away. Seriously, "nose" into the parking slot and look forward - there it is! Brilliant, simply brilliant! Bring your own pen to sign the log.

2024 Update: The years have not shown favor on the cache itself, but a temporary replacement has been installed - see hint for additional details as to what to look for.

2025 Update: The years continue to NOT show favor to the "support" of the cache, and the cache itself, so I'm having to re-locate the Final. The nose into parking at the "Given" coordinates is still HIGHLY recommended. Look sightly to the left of center to observe two green sign posts - (more info in HINT, if you need or want it!). TOTT (tweezers) might be useful for the logwink
