Easily found Travel Bug Motel not far from the New England and Golden Highways. Ideally a good stop over for travel bugs heading to areas such as Tamworth, Brisbane, Hunter Valley and Newcastle, Sydney and the Central West towards Dubbo.
About time there was a Travel Bug motel in the area! The idea of these is a place for bugs (or coins) to start their journeys or spend a few nights for a break / before they move again. Being not far from the intersection of 2 highways I thought this not a bad place for my first motel.
My first choice was the rest area right at the intersection of the Golden and New England Highways but after hours (over several days) of waiting for an opportunity to find or construct a good place to hide this motel it became very obvious that it was going to be too hard for people to easily grab it due to muggle activity.
The cache is now located close to intersection of Range Road and the New England Highway, and the Howe Memorial (commemorating discovery of the area).
Motel is of the eco-resort styling, and should not me hard to find, although avoiding muggling eyes may still be a challenge. Drive-by muggles can approach from at least 4 directions here so keep and eye out and use some stealth / speed to make you grab / return.
The interior furnishings and decor have been lovingly prepared by Sarah, my interior desginer. Guests are asked not to pilfer the furnishings.
Please leave, take or swap only travel bugs / geocoins / trackables or small travel-related items. Please sign the visitor register even if you have no bugs take, drop or swap. 24 hour check-in is available. Please be aware that parking nearby is quite limited.
We may need to upgrade this motel in the future, depending on popularity.
