Johanniskreuz - Mittelpunkt des Pfälzerwaldes


Im Jahre 1992 wurde der Naturpark Pfälzer Wald als 12. deutsches Biosphärenreservat von der UNESCO anerkannt und in das weltweite Netz der Biosphärenreservate aufgenommen.

Um das Interesse der Menschen für das Biosphärenreservat Pfälzerwald/Nordvogesen zu wecken wurden im Jahre 2004 die Biosphärentage ins Leben gerufen.

Die Wegstrecke dieses Caches ist etwa 7 km lang und beginnt bei den oben angegebenen Koordinaten (Parkplatz) und folgt dem Rundweg 10.

Folgende Aufgaben sind zu lösen:

  1. An einem Grenzstein sind Zahlen abzulesen
  2. Ein Micro mit Koordinaten ist zu finden
  3. Den Cache findet ihr in der Nähe einer Quelle

Station 1:

Vom Parkplatz aus folgen wir zuerst dem Rundweg 10 bis zu einem Grenzstein. Der Grenzstein weist auf das Zusammentreffen historischer Grenzen hin. Er kennzeichnet die Grenzscheide zwischen dem Lauberwald im Besitz der Probstei Eußertal (PE mit Abtstab), der Frankenweide (F) und dem Gräfensteiner Wald der Markgrafschaft Baden (MB) hin. Auf der Seite der Probstei Eußertal findest du eine Jahreszahl xxxx und auf der Seite der Markgrafschaft Baden eine weitere Zahl yy.

Und weiter gehts zu ...

Station 2:
Hier findest du einen Micro (Filmhülse). Er ist in einem Baumstumpf versteckt und enthält die Koordinaten fürs Finale.

Station 3: FINALE
Unser Weg führt uns zu einem Weiher, der hier seit 1875 künstlich aufgestaut ist. Am Auslauf des Weihers steht die Hälfte eines Brunnentroges aus dem Trippstädter Schlossgarten, der Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts dorthin gebracht wurde.
Ganz in der Nähe ist der Cache versteckt.


To wake up the interest of the people in the biosphere reserve Pfälzerwald / Nordvogesen the biosphere days were brought to life in 2004.
The distance of this tour is about 7 km and begins with the coordinates given on top (parking arrea) and follow way number 10.

The following tasks are to be solved:
  1. you will find a boundary stone
  2. a Micro with co-ordinates is to be found
  3. you find the Cache near a lake

stage 1:
The boundary stone points out to the meeting of historical borders. On the side of the Probstei Eußertal you find an annual number xxxx and on the side of the margraviate Baden an other number yy.
coordinates of the micro:
N 49° 19. (1833 - xxxx)
E 7° 49. (387 + yy)

stage 2:
You will find the Micro with the coordinates of the final cache in a stamp.

stage 3: FINAL
A brook arises here as a arthesian spring in the pond which is dammed up since 1875 artificially. In the outlet of the pond stands half of a well trough from the Trippstädter castle garden. It was placed here at the end of the 19-th century.
Nearby you will find the Cache.
