Differential: the good old numbers is a puzzle / two stop multi cache located along the Nose Creek Parkway System. The coordinates for WP#1 can be determined following the information given below. WP#1 will provide the final coordinates for the cache which is a large ammo box.

--------------------------------------------------------

The initial contents of the cache included:

Two copies of a 6 - CD set of the Canadian Encyclopedia for the first two cachers to find.

Three brand new family oriented DVDs.

A collection of cool trading items for kids and adults.

A logbook with several pencils and a collection of recently collected TBs and geocoins.

Enjoy the hunt!

---------------------------------------------------------

In order to find WP#1 for this cache you will need to calculate the difference between the numbers each of the players wore during their sporting career. Each player had their number officially retired by their respective team - these are the numbers you will need to identify.

For instance if we used two active Calgary Flames hockey players as an example: Jerome Iginla #12 and Dion Phaneuf #3 - the difference between the numbers for these players is nine and this number would be assigned to a letter representing a key number in the coordinates for WP#1.

The only tricky piece here is that you will only have the names of the players and no additional information. You'll have to do a little research to come up with the numbers the players wore and the teams they played for during their career - focusing on the team that retired their number.

WP#1 can be found using the following formula:

N51 07.ABC W114 03.DEF

A = the difference between the retired playing numbers of Sammy Baugh and Jimmy Wynn.

B = the difference between the retired playing numbers of Serge Savard and Whitey Ford.

C = the difference between the retired playing numbers of Jackie Robinson and Hugh McElhenny.

D = the difference between the retired playing numbers of Gianfranco Zola and Bobby Hull.

E = the difference between the retired playing numbers of Frank White and Mel Harder.

F = the difference between the retired playing numbers of Stan Mikita and Warren Spahn.

---------------------------------------------------------

The final can be found within two kilometres of the posted coordinates for this cache.
