Geocache Description:

The History of Geocaching

Cache is hidden in Prosser's Cathedral Pines. The above coordinates are not the location of the cache.

The history of geocaching is short but fascinating. You'll need some knowledge of that history to solve this mystery cache. Fortunately, the Geocaching Basics section in the Help Center is available in case you don't have all the answers.
To begin, start with the coordinates of the first geocache (or "stash" as it was called) hidden in the woods in Beaver Creek, Oregon. Next, you'll answer questions and do simple calculations to find the values of A-L. Finally, you'll add or subtract these from those first cache coordintes to find the coordintes of this cache.
The cache container is a large lock&lock. There is plenty of swag, including a Sacagawea dollar and a yellow VERB ball (Remember to log in at verb.com and pass it on!). Be sure to rehide the cache carefully.

A = the month the first "stash" was hidden
B = the number of satellites activated by the "blue switch" on May 2,2000
C = the last digit of the year the French word cache was invented
D = Irish, Alvord and Roth are supported by Goundspeak lackeys and almost this many geocaching volunteers worldwide
E = within three days of David Ulmer's first cache, this number of readers read about it on the internet and used their GPS receivers to find the container
F = Groundspeak moved their machines into a hosted environment in Seattle using the proceeds from the sales of ______ geocaching t-shirts
G = the month in 2000 in which the NY Times featured a geocaching story in its "Circuits" section
H = C x A
I = F + F + G
J = D / E
K = B + C
L = D + E
