Geocache Description:

If you're traveling by car, Ronald Bog Park needs to be accessed while driving from west to east on NE 175th Street in Shoreline. The opening coordinates for this puzzle cache will lead you to the parking lot. Shoreline parks are generally open from dawn to dusk.

The Mystery of Mother Goose

Once upon a time, there was a viciously territorial goose that guarded over a large brood of ducks at Ronald Bog Park. For whatever reason, the goose had unquestioned authority over all living creatures who dared to set foot or paw within this park's boundaries.

From a distance, it was somewhat endearing to see how fiercely Mother Goose protected the brood; however, up close and personal, it was intensely unpleasant. Many logs in three now-archived caches (X Does Not Mark The Spot, Carolyn Grace's Multi-Cache Mania, and The Ponies) made reference to this insane goose. I was never able to do anything other than dart in to retrieve the cache or waypoint, and then beat a hasty retreat as the protective goose charged after me with ferociously flapping wings and a hissing, snapping beak.

A few months ago, I noticed how placid the bog seemed, duly noting the lack of Mother Goose and most of the ducks. For the first time ever, I was able to walk all the way around the park.

Still, I wonder: whatever happened to Mother Goose? It's a mystery...and so is this cache.
