The bear went over the mountain,
The bear went over the mountain,
The bear went over the mountain,
To see what he could see!
And all that he could see,
And all that he could see.
Was the other side of the mountain,
The other side of the mountain,
The other side of the mountain,
Was all that he could see!
Anyone else remember that song? With KidAce and DangerBoy on
Team Jac'd, we hear that one about once every two months... at a
minimum.
What's the purpose of this cache? To see what was on the other
side of Taylor Mountain. DangerBoy and I were driving around, and
he started singing this song and I had always wanted to find out
where that road went to. And as things work out, I had a spare
cache sitting right there in the car.
This turned out to be an amazing drive, with lots of little
twists and turns. If you look at the forests on either side, you
will see signs saying no tresspassing. A lot of the surrounding
forest is part of the Cedar River watershed, responsible for
supplying water. Until you get to the end of the road, its probably
best that you don't go wandering in the woods for this one!
You could barrel through this area, but DangerBoy and I just had
a great drive. Lots of nice old trees, plenty of hills and turns,
and lots of wildlife.
You are looking for a tin container that can hold small items
and travel bugs. You do not have to go past any no tresspassing
signs and there is parking within 30 ft of the cache.
