Edisto Patto: Going to archive at this time. Received confirmation that cache had been removed and that there was some issue with the location. Had a good run with this one and will look to place another beachfront cache in the near future.

Located on the Beach on Edisto Island.
Have to travel partway in loose sand to access cache.
Thought it was about time Edisto had its own oceanview cache.
Easy find but in a high muggle area---especially during the tourist season.
Cache is in a decon kit container. Contains log but you will need to bring your own pen/pencil to sign. Please make sure log is returned to baggie and container is sealed properly and securely reattached to its mooring. Cache could be under water at a really high tide or subject to being washed away.

Be sure to use a Public Beach Access road or walkway. The cache is located on beach at the end of access road that has about 10 parking spaces. Parking prohibited 11PM to 6AM.
Climbing on the dunes is also prohibited and is unnecessary to access the cache.
Also remember to observe the “Lights out for Loggerheads” regulations prohibiting any lights on the beach (flashlights, lanterns, etc.) after dark from May to October to protect nesting and hatching loggerhead turtles.
