Geocache Description:

Hard packed dirt path all the way to the cache. Cache is a 81mm Ammo can. Yes, an 81mm Ammo can!

This cache was placed as a sort of time capsule by myself & the attendees of the 1st Annual Starkey Park Geo Event of 2006(GCXGWK).

You will find this cache in J.B. Starkey Park.

Now, Jodster & myself are usually in the park either Saturday or Sunday.
We keep an FRS radio with us & on. We monitor channels 2 & 12.
So if you are in the park, have an FRS radio (Motorola Talkabout) & would like help or to meet, just give us a shout!

Parking is at the corral at N 28° 15.175 W 082° 38.427.

Contained in the cache you will find pictures from the 2006 1st Annual Starkey Park Geo Event. Feel free to look but please place them back in the cache as you found them for others to enjoy!

Congratulations to Gamaliel who was the First to Find the Starkey Park Geo Event Cache!

I've changed this cache just a little bit to make it a Travel Bug Hotel.

On behalf of those that have put much time, effort and money into creating Travel Bugs, we would ask that you take care of our creations.

There are some basic “Do’s and Don’ts” for this Travel Bug Hotel and Travel Bug handling in general.

Travel Bug Hotel Rules (TB-101):

* Do NOT take a Travel Bug if you don’t have one to exchange. Drop offs without an exchange are permitted. A TB Hotel with no guests really stinks.

* Do NOT take a Travel Bug if you are not prepared to help it on its stated journey. For example, if a Travel Bug wants to visit the Florida Keys, don’t grab it and take it to your Family Reunion in Tifton, Jawja.

* Please do NOT take all the Travel Bugs in the Hotel. Let somebody else share in some of the fun. Take more than one, if and only if, you have placed more than one TB in the Hotel.

* Please, please, please, be sure to follow the guidelines on the tracking of Travel Bugs. Refer to (visit link) for more information.

* Be sure to log your “found” Travel Bug as promptly as possible (Vacations do make this part tough). Sometimes a TB is grabbed from Cache #1, placed in Cache #2, only to be grabbed from Cache #2, and placed/logged again before the Cache #1 has been properly logged. This really hoses up the tracking.

* If a TB owner has a unique goal or requests for photos, please DO be an active participant. Have some fun with it.

* If you “check-in” a TB at the hotel, DO be sure to write the current goal of the TB in the logbook for others to see. If you can, include it along with the TB (via an attached tag or note).
