Pocahontas State
Park, Lakefront Parking Area
12:00 pm to 3:00 pm (Cookout to
Follow)
WEATHER UPDATE
The weather
looks very iffy for tomorrow. While the rain should be gone by
noon, high winds are predicted. This does not make ideal boating
weather with low temperatures and cold water
conditions.
Therefore,
in the event of rain the clean-up is cancelled. If the winds result
in unsafe conditions, but the rain subsides, we will work from the
shoreline.

Come join the the
Central Virginia Geocaching Association as we help take care of one
of our favorite playgrounds. The Friends of Pocahontas State Park
have invited us to join them in one of their annual cleanup events
in the Park.
We'll be canoeing
the perimeter of the Swift Creek Lake, cleaning the banks of trash
that has washed down Swift Creek during the summer storm season.
The Park will supply about a dozen canoes, but if you have access
to a canoe or kayak - please bring it. PFD's are required, so bring
them as well. This is a great opportunity to pick up some of the
geocaches in the park that area best reached via the
lake.
We are also
invited to attend a cookout immediately following the event. The
Friends OF PSP will provide all the food. This should be a fun
family outing for all!
More information
will be posted soon, so check back often or add this to your
watchlist!
If you can make
it, please post a 'Will Attend' log to let us know so we can get a
ballpark number for attendance. See you on October
28th!
Note: This event has been granted an exception by Groundspeak Inc.
to host the CITO event by invitation of the Friends of
PSP.
