Newcastle United Football Club, (NUFC), is a football team based
in Newcastle upon Tyne, who currently play in the FA Premier
League. The classic black and white strip has earned the team the
nickname “The Magpies”, and the supporters have become
known as the "Toon Army".
The team was formed in 1892 after the merger of two local clubs,
Newcastle East and Newcastle West and currently plays at St James'
Park, the site of the old Newcastle West ground in the city.

team temporarily located in the Championship League.
