This nice old steel bridge was build in the early 1900’s and connects Judsonia, Ark. with Kensett, Ark. The bridge was constructed by the R.L. Gaster Construction Co. and was placed on the National Register of Historical Places in 1990. It recently went through a partial renovation and a new floor was added. The cache is NOT on the bridge.
As a bonus, if you look downstream(eastward), you will see another bridge. This bridge is an old swing bridge. It actually would pivot in the middle to allow boats to travel up and down the river. Although it no longer pivots, it is still in use as a crossing for the Missouri Pacific Railroad. Several trains a day can be seen crossing this fine old structure.
If you have suggestions as to how this cache can be improved or if the cache needs attention, please email me at my profile link or note it in your online log. Above all, be safe, have fun, and happy caching.
