Getting to the location will be more of a challenge than finding
the cache. There are multiple places to park and at least three
different paths to the location. Please use your stealth mode when
hiking if near where residents might see you. One route is to use
the unfinished road above all the homes. It was closed to cars when
the cache was placed but wide open for walking. When finished, the
road will take you very close to the cache but don't drive there
today.
Why they decided to put this Obelisk right here, I'll bet the
cell phone people had a LOT to do with it.
Obelisks are the architecture of the ancient Egyptians, who
usually placed them in pairs at the entrance of temples.
I don't think this is a place of worship and I didn't see any RA
followers while placing the cache.
In ancient Axumite Kingdom of Ethiopia, the largest obelisk, now
fallen, at 33 m high and 3 by 2 meters at the base is the largest
single piece of stone ever worked in human history and probably
fell during erection or soon after, destroying a large part of the
massive burial chamber underneath it.
Doesn't look like this obelisk will be falling over nor is it
the tallest in the world. Might be the tallest in the state
though.
Please DON'T cross the fence lines into the farmer's
grove.
Enjoy the hike and the view of the grove (while it's still
there).
