long marsh dam construction started 1842 and abandoned in 1844 . the remains of village and construction site is spread over large area so take the time to explore, this is a historic site please do not disturbe
gz for sand stone quarry - worth checking out s42*08.539 e147*50.412
1 lone grave in memory of thomas collins ,killed by falling stone and the village are visable along the track to cache
cars should park at gz s 42*09.032 e147*50.478 as there are some deep potholes in the last 900 m of track
the cache can be reached off the m road which runs from lake leak to triabunna it is gravel rd used by log trucks so beware
