Geocache Description:

A nice woodland walk on fairly maintained trails.

The Westport Land Conservation Trust has opened its newest natural area for public use and enjoyment, the Forge Pond Conservation Area on Forge Road in central Westport. Located in Westport Factory, an area of great historical value, the Forge Pond Conservation Area encompasses approximately 9.3 acres of land on both sides of Forge Pond, a 53-acre man-made water body fed by the Noquochoke River and draining into the east branch of the Westport River. The cache is a screw-lid cashew container stocked with various items to trade. It is a moderate walk through fairly maintained trails. We don’t think a hint is needed, since the hiding place will be obvious. The cache should be relatively snow friendly.
