The cache is located in Excelsior Park and is geokid friendly. This is our first hide and we have tried to make it relatively easy.
There are numerous ways enter this bushland park, as well as many tracks. The easiest and quickest way to access this cache is from Grangewood Place, West Pennant Hills. There is a small playground off Grangewood Place and a track leading into the bush. The cache is located off the track about a 5 to 10 minute walk down the hill. There are some steep bits on the track, hence the 2.5 terrain rating but nothing too difficult or dangerous.
The cache has been initial stocked with items that children should enjoy. They were picked out by our 4 year old geoboy.
There has previously been problems with water getting into the ammo box. Please ensure that the lid is properly closed and locked into place. Thank you.
While you are here go for a walk down to the creek or along one of the tracks.
