We recommend passenger cars park and take a fairly level, less than 3 mile (roundtrip), interesting hike over to this one. High clearance vehicles will have fun/easy time manuvering around and can get within .10 mile of cache.
Rarely-used, off-road trail to a spectacular view of Fossil Creek and surrounding canyons, walls and mountains. We had to clear the way a couple of times from downed trees. This is a more primative-looking area than most Forest Service roads on the rim. Short hike to vantage point... follow your GPSr.
We know no history of Lovers actually jumping from here, but it sure seems plausible! Hope you enjoy the adventure, especially since there isn't anything too exciting in the cache... well, it's the view that's the Finder's treasure, for sure!
*April 26, 2008 UPDATE*
Due to a muggling, cache has been replaced in a slightly different area, but still within GZ. Bumped up the difficulties due to the rough rutted roads and downed trees, however an ATV/High-Clearance Truck can make this trip. We debated about archiving the cache, but the view makes this totally worth the extra effort. An established campfire pit for camping is available. Use suggested WayMarks, however there are several ways into the final area.
