This cache is situated high
upon one of the lonely Manx Peaks
To solve this cache will take
time, ingenuity and a little bit of luck
The cache is situated
at 54º
08.123
004º 40.456
Below is the
first verse of a poem titled "Climbing" by the great Manx
poet
T.E.
Brown
WHEN I
would get me to the upper fields,
I look if anywhere
A man be found who craves what joyaunce yields
The keen thin air,
Who loves the rapture of the height,
And fain would snatch with me a perilous delight.
To solve this cache you will
need to visit Crypto
When you are at this site you
will see a Text Encryption Applet, this is where you will work out
the co-ords
i.e. if the encryption was ")
ZN{{ST-]" and you thought the keyword was "tree" you would enter
the encryption and key and press decrypt you will see "geocaching"
if you didn't get a recognisable word, you would then adjust the
shift ( 1 at a time ), therefore if the encryption was ",[{0}}TU=("
the keyword was tree and the shift 1 you would get
"geocaching"
Unfortunately you can't cut and paste on "Crypto" so be careful
when inputting the codes they are case sensitive
These are the codes:
X,V,
Z'h]
aWh
Z'-
';fU
']V
The keys are one word from each
line of the poem, between 3 and 8 letters, each coded word requires
a different key, the number of shifts between 1 and 6 corresponds
to its position in the cache co-ordinates.
Just to add to the interest,
the keywords are in no particular order i.e key for code word 1
could be in line 6
Any problems give me a
shout.....
