Reachable by water or on foot depending on the season. The cache is near the shoreline.
The cache is a plastic container containing a log book, pencil and small items for exchange.
Please ensure the cache container remains tied in place after you have put the top of the container back on.
(The last cache container blew or washed away as this is a very exposed location)
If reaching it by water, there are suitable launch sites on Petrie Island within 3 km of the cache site. There is pay parking -currently $2 for 5 hours - enough time to paddle out and back.
From the Ontario side, in winter after ensuring the ice is safe to cross, the site may also be accessed on skiis or snowshoes. One possible starting point is the corner of 10th Line Road and North Service Road with parking available on the N.E. corner.
