A plastic container with trade items and a log book (please sign). A lovely view of Sundance Mountain from the cache sight. Those that reside here, have one of the most breath taking views found anywhere. When Sundance, Wyoming was in it’s infancy, a gentleman named William Draper was instrumental in laying out the town and helping it put down roots that would sustain it for many years to come. Mr. Draper’s 18 year old nephew, Eugene Barlow was the first person buried at Mt. Moriah cemetery. Eugene was a highly thought of young man in the area. In Oct. 1884, he was attempting to apprehend a pair of loose mules in Sundance. The horse he was riding collided with a fence and fell on young Barlow. He never regained consciousness and died a few days later. A generous landowner near Sundance donated the land for the cemetery. Mr. Barlow was the first of many to be laid to rest on Mt. Moriah.
