Simmer Tree
The posted co-ordinates will NOT take you to the cache. To find the exact location you will need to solve the following.
Two rhymes make a right - answer, that is. For each pair of words below, a rhyme for the first word will give you the general category; a rhyme for the second will be a specific thing in that category. eg. "petal, shopper" = "metal, copper".
The first two words have been encrypted using a code which you will need to break before commencing with the second half of the rhyme. The first pair of words have been supplied to help with the deciphering.
Decipher the following:
a 88112, 6162235 (funny, scholar = ?,?)
b 593621, 3551795
c 829732, 25172
d 082295, 892220
e 32095, 15332
Then apply the following formulae to arrive at the co-ordinates needed to find Simmer Tree. Use only the second half of the rhymes i.e. "metal, copper". Assume that a=1, b=2, c=3, etc. and that rhyme a, word 1, letter 3 = [a1.3], rhyme d, word 2, letter 2 = [d2.2] and so on.
Calculate: S25 ab.cde E28 AB.CDE
ab = (([a1.4]*[a2.3])-[b1.1])+16
cde = (([c1.6]*[d2.2])*([c1.2]*[e1.5])+([c2.1]*[e2.4])-32)
AB = (([a2.5]*[b1.5])+[b1.4])-34
CDE = ([c2.4]*[d1.4]*2)+([d2.4]+[e1.6])+43
Please note that this cache is not in the large "regular" container and that only smaller items can be traded. It is hoped that only "useful" items are exchanged.
Special Note
When approaching the site, try to find a place to park down the fork of the road which takes you to the "airport" as this takes you away from the small informal settlement and prying eyes. Make your approach from this side if possible. Stow cache as you found it please. As this place is rather remote, it is advised that you do not attempt this on your own.
