Somogyfajsz is a little village in Inner-Somogy, at the border of the Nature Reservation Area along the Boronka
Excavations have provided evidence of the various cultures that have resided in this region since the Neolithic times. Some place names indicate the period of the Hungarian Settlement; ’ Bogat ’and ’ Fajsz ’ remind us of the original magyar clans.
The Ancient Foundry Museum ( Oskohó Múzeum ) in Somogyfajsz is a prominent heritage site exhibiting the technology of smelting and processing surface deposits of iron ore.Its present building is impressive, it may refer to a yurta, an arrow-head or a crest of a helmet.
The Museum is situated about 1,5 km.from the fork Pusztakovácsi and Libickozma keep on the one lane asphalt road.
