This cache has been archived.

TECGeoJim: Cache has been removed. This should open up quite a bit of space in this park for new caches (for me to find [;)]).

Geocache Description:

This is an eleven-stage multi-cache placed to honor King Boreas' 1000th cache hide. Completing cache will also give you the opportunity to explore a large part of this beautiful series of parks along 9-mile creek.

(1st to find and 2nd to find prizes are unactivated geocoins--KB Coins, of course.)

All the stages are near dirt paths, gravel paths, paved paths, or open grassy areas so no bushwhacking is needed. Each stage could be rated with a difficulty level of 1 - 2 and a terrain rating of 1 - 2. The listed ratings of 3 reflect the many stages, 4 mile walk, and time investment needed to reach all the stages. If you have not found the other caches along 9-Mile creek, you can find many of them as you pass close to them while completing the stages of this multi-cache.

The creek meanders and so do many of the paths. Please stick to the paths instead of bushwhacking.

Suggested Parking: N 44 48.960 W 93 18.444 <-- Off 104th Street between Morgan Ave and Penn Ave

K: N 44 48.979 W 93 18.507

I: N 44 ____.______ W 93 ____.______

N: N 44 ____.______ W 93 ____.______

G: N 44 ____.______ W 93 ____.______

B: N 44 ____.______ W 93 ____.______

Look for a small path heading upward just past the 0.9 mile post. After finding "O", this path will take you past GCHFH5 on your way to "R."

O: N 44 ____.______ W 93 ____.______

R: N 44 ____.______ W 93 ____.______

E: N 44 ____.______ W 93 ____.______

Don't be enticed off the paths and cleared areas by the arrow on your GPSr. Remember that the creek meanders. The best way from "E" to "A" is past GCNNWY and then up on the bluff trail past GCR00V, GCQTWF and GCV0W9. An alternate trail to "A" is to follow the path next to the creek and then climb the stairs at 106th street.

A: N 44 ____.______ W 93 ____.______

S: N 44 ____.______ W 93 ____.______

Final: N 44 ____.______ W 93 ____.______

Bright Idea: The final is not too far from the starting point, but this is a large park so it is handy to waypoint your car so that you can easily find your way back.
