Geocache Description:

A quick park and grab. You can drive to within a few feet of the cache.

This marker is one mile north of the remains of Desert Well Mail and Stage Station which was in use from about 1843-1869. Mark Twain wrote about this station in his book "Roughing it" I chose this location because of my interest of the history of Northern Nevada and the Comstock Lode. This can be a quick history lesson also. PLEASE BRING A PEN TO SIGN THE LOG. This is a log only cache but, THERE IS A SUSAN B. ANTHONY DOLLAR FOR THE FTF.
