Geocache Description:

This cache is a multi cache and the above coordinates are for the first phase, where you will get the coordinates to the final cache location. The first phase of the cache is contained in a small thermos, while the final cache is in a medium size lock'n'lock container. They are both high enough that high water is not a threat.
This site originated in the 1960’s when Mr. Cal Bean created two Ponds for fishing. The third was added the following year, and the fourth and fifth sometime later.
The Bean Family, was the original owner of the Ideal Products Co. in Sykesville, Pa., producers of quality outdoor clothing. It is through their generosity that this area is maintained and perpetuated. The Ponds are stocked with trout twice a year by the Ideal Foundation.
Permission was granted to place the cache here. The access road to the cache is bordered by private property, therefore please do not bushwhack. The designated parking area is located at N40*59.773; W78*45.049.
The entrance to the area is at N40*59.701;W78*44.516. Due to the wet roads, this gate is closed from the end of Feb. until the first day of fishing season (mid April). During this time, park at the gate (do not block entrance) and hike to the cache, approximately 1/2 mile. Although not located on state game lands, the area sees a lot of hunters. Please exercise caution and wear appropriate orange during hunting season.
A great place for kids or adults to fish, it is beautiful and you will be serenaded by the babbling brook and the cascading waters running from pond to pond. There are picnic tables available, so sit down and enjoy the serenity.
The cache contains small fishing related items, as well as a log book. The CCGT 2012 stamp has been added in early May. A Geo-cache compass/flashlight awaits FTF, CITO. Have Fun! Enjoy!
As an added treat while you are in the area, you may want to proceed to coordinates N40* 58.145; W78* 45.478 to enjoy a great view from the Continental Divide. Particularly spectacular on a clear, crisp fall day.
