The “Restin’” caches are a series that will take you to local cemeteries, places of great historical interest. From pioneers and modern people these lovely places are full of interesting information. Please take your time – walk around, visit with the past. The caches are easy to find. Please respect where you are.
Many of Trentonians early settlers rest here. Great view of the bay. Some burials here took place as early as 1815 but it became a recognized burial ground in 1854. There are many unmarked graves even that of the founder of Belleville, Captain John Walden Meyers is unknown. Please put back in to the original spot and place the "container "upside down to keep water out of the ummm container which does not like being upside down.
