First in the series of
Adelaide Hills Wineries
The Adelaide Hills cool climate is ideal
for growing Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and cool crisp
Chardonnay.
These are the predominant varieties grown successfully and proudly
throughout the region.
Other grape varieties grown in the region include Merlot, Shiraz,
Semillon and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Hills vignerons are also experimenting with some of the rarer
varieties in Australia
Trollinger and Lemberger grapes from Germany, and Italian
varieties Arneis, Sangiovese and Nebbiolo.
From the Winemaker of the featured
Winery
"In the backdrop of the cool heights
of the Adelaide Hills,
we started producing some soul reposing potions of our own
uncompromising wines
of outstanding quality and internationally recognised
distinction.
Wines that, strangely enough, have been impressing both critics
and consumers with their varietal faithfulness
and subtle Adelaide Hills nuances."
