Geocache Description:

Col-Huw Point is renowned for its right-hand point break to the left of the beach, long walls and cover ups, swells of up to six feet and its shelter from SW winds- which translates as people like to surf here. If you want to see them in action then low tide is the best time to be here.

The beach itself is mainly rocky with some sand at low tide. It was originally the site of the port of Col-Huw from the fifth century until storms destroyed it in the sixteenth century. From here boats would cross the channel to Somerset and Devon.

Care should be taken by the cliffs due to erosion, especially in high winds.
