Geocache Description:

The cache is located at Grieghallen

Grieghallen (The Grieg Hall) was opened in May 1978, and is one of the most well known culture buildings in the country. Grieghallen is know world wide for the brilliant acoustics. The large concert hall has 1500 seats, and in 1986 it hosted the Eurovision Song Contest. The building is designed as a grand piano, this you can see from Fløien.

Today Grieghallen is also widely used as congress centre.

Grieghallen is named after the famous composer Edvard Grieg (1843 – 1907).

The architect of Grieghallen is Knud Munk (1936-) from Denmark.
