Geocache Description:

This was a puzzle cache, but I've decide to turn it into a regular cache to attract more visitors!

Crop circles. Love them or hate them, they're here to stay, and if you live in Wiltshire they're a normal part of summer.

The only mystery surrounding crop circles is why some people believe they are made by some unknown force, or alien beings, trying to communicate with us.

Let's face it, if aliens had the technology to visit Earth from some far distant planet, then they are hardly likely to get a garden roller, a plank of wood, some string, and flatten corn to communicate with us are they?

I mean, that would be like geocaching with a sextant - possible, but highly unlikely.

So who makes these things then?

Who cares?

The farmers make a pound a time charging entry to view the circle, people go away awestruck at the wonder of it all, and everybody is happy.

Allegedly, the T-shirts for one of the most famous circles of all, shown below, were printed before the circle was even in the field!

And now onto the cache. You will be taken to a possible mysterious circle somewhere in the countryside (Editor's note! Absolutely no corn was harmed during the making of this cache). There will probably be lots of visitors to this area, so the utmost stealth is required to retrieve the cache.

If anyone asks you what that yellow device is you're holding - tell them it's a mass spectrometer measuring the ambient quark intensity, and carry on looking around suspiciously.

There are a number of places you can park to do this cache. My advice is to park about 1 mile South by West (SbW) and take the designated footpath which is good in most weathers and enjoy the lovely walk.
