Geocache Description:

Malvern Bridge, Malvern, Brown Township, Carroll County, Ohio, spans Sandy Creek.

Magnetic key holder, painted silver. Bring pen.

Take a stroll across the bridge sidewalk and enjoy the view of Sandy Creek.

Where 43/183 runs though Malvern today, was once the Sandy-Beaver Canal, and before that, it was the Great Trail. This location was Mile 54 on the canal, and was the position of Lock 20. There was a woolen mill built over the canal here, and a grist mill to the south of the canal race. The big, old painted-white brick building on the north bank of Sandy Creek was once the Malvern Opera House.
