Cache is located in the Odenton Natural Environmental Area, a 122 acre undeveloped Anne Arundel county park. Area can be accessed from several areas. Parking coords take you to the 4 Season housing area off of Waugh Chapel Rd.
This cache is a tribute to Pittsburgh, PA: City of Champions.
If you've ever met anyone from the Pittsburgh area you probably know they bleed black and gold, known affectionately as Steelers Nation. The Steelers have been around since 1933 and have celebrated their 5th Super Bowl championship last year. ( 1974, 1975, 1978, 1979, and 2005). They have 29 hall of famers with names such as Mean Joe Greene, The Chief, Art Rooney, Terry Bradshaw, Lynn Swann and Franco Harris.
Across from Heinz field, you will find PNC Park, home of the Pirates who also have 5 World Series Championships.(1909, 1925, 1960, 1971, and the 1979 " We are Family" champs). You will find 34 hall of famers such as the Waner brothers, Honus Wagner, Willie Stargell, Bill Mazeroski, and Roberto Clemente.
On the Ice, The Pittsburgh Penguins claimed two Stanley Cup Champs in 1990-91 and 1991-92. The great Mario Lemieux being the most famous player. Up and coming star, Sydney Crosby, makes the Pens exciting to watch.
Lastly, The University of Pittsburgh founded in 1787 and home to 34,000 students has 9 NCAA Football Championships. There are 4 alumns found in the Hall of Fame: Dan Marino, Mike Ditka, Joe Schmidt, and Heisman winner Tony Dorsett.
The cache will contain Pittsburgh themed items and memorabilia. Please feel free to add items of your favorite sports teams.
Reception can be spotty in this area. Tupperware Cache is located a short distance off of main trail in a traditional hiding spot.
