We placed this cache near the supposed grave of Mary Jane Francis. There is a nice headstone over the grave. Legend has it that you need to leave a quarter here for good luck on the trail!
Ya probably need a Jeep or some kind of 4x4 to get up here. The Poison Spider trail is rated difficult, so don't bring your mama's Cadillac, you won't make it! Check out the headstone and grave, Mary Jane Francis lived from 1889 - 1896, and legend has it that she was buried here in 1896. She allegedly died from - you guessed it- a bite from a poison spider! Have fun, this is a great trail!
