Geocache Description:

** The reference point is not the location of the cache **

MFC, Moncton Flying Club, is where I learned to fly many years ago. Pilots from around the world have trained there and hopefully a few of them will return as Geocachers to remind themselves of the many pleasant hours they spent flying in this beautiful area of Canada.

The lettering on the aircraft at the reference point refers to a hard substance and an astronomical event. The astronomical event is associated with two heavenly bodies. This event is seen frequently or infrequently depending on which heavenly body is involved. The actual cache location is determined by first finding the number of letters in the hard substance name and in the names of the two heavenly bodies.

Letters in hard substance name (HSN) = ____

Letters in heavenly body name associated with infrequent event (IE) = ____

Letters in heavenly body name associated with frequent event (FE) = ____

Cache location

N46 0(IE X 2).(FE)0(IE) W64 (IE)(HSN + 2).(FE – 2)(FE)(HSN – 3)

Checksum N – 23 W – 32

Original contents of the cache were logbook, pencils and an assortment of swag.
