For the KVR caches, this may be the place to start. Parking will be obvious when you get near the cache site. The Reserve Center is a 2 year old building that is quite a marvel. Inside you can learn about the reserve, find maps, restrooms, etc.
Cache contains a few trinkets and a TB to start.
This is the easiest to reach cache in the series, others will require scenic treks. Water, and other supplies may be a good idea.
The reserve exists today because of a flood control project that was proposed more than 30 years go. After several stops and starts, the project was halted in '73 due to environmental and economic reasons. The property transferred ownership from the US Army Corps of Engineers to the State and Ho-Chunk Nation in 2000.
