Geocache Description:

2001 VFR Interceptor

The cache is a 2-liter camouflaged Lock & Lock © container. It is located behind a rocky outcrop on land that borders the Androscoggin River.
It is located on the eastern side of the James Cleveland Bridge that crosses the Androscoggin River in Berlin, NH.

On the western side of Unity street there is a wide, paved side walk that runs the length of the road. There is a bicycle lane and park benches along this roadway.
You’ll likely see cyclist, joggers, walkers, and bench sitters along the way.

The city did a nice job creating this area many years ago when it constructed the bridge during the early 1980’s. For years before this bridge was built, only the Mason Street and the 12th. Street bridges allowed access to Berlin’s East Side. These two bridges replaced the former, now demolished YMCA bridge and another bridge south of the 12th Street bridge, which is now open to foot traffic only.

There is parking at: N 44°27.739” – W071°11.049” that will put you right next to a relaxing park bench.

Take a moment to sit down and let your GPS’r settle.
From behind the bench you can enter the wooded area and navigate around the back of the large rock outcrop that is pictured in one of the photos.

There are rocky areas to cross on your way to the cache, so be careful.
Please replace the cache as found.

Coordinates verified as good within 9.6’(see photo).

Kindly use stealth as there are likely be Geo-muggles along the road.
