Park in the pull-off by the green gate. Very easy walk, no hiking necessary. Cache is small, so bring your own writing stick.
We drive this road on our way to Atlanta, Idaho in the summer. This road is closed in the winter. One year on our way back to Boise, we saw a deer standing at this curve, casually licking the road. It struck us as a bit odd, and the name stuck.
