Geocache Description:

Easy walking on established trails to within 30 feet of the cache. For your safety and lower envrionmental impact, bushwhacking a greater distance than the final 30 feet is discouraged. If you cross Country ski and there is snow on the ground you may enjoy skiing to this cache.

This is the second of our seasonal Geocaches. The Winter Solstice is the shortest day of the year and the official beginning of winter. The Winter Solstice happens when the sun reaches its furthest south point on its apparent path on the ecliptic. From now on the days will be getting longer. This year the Winter Solstice is on December 21 at 7:22 PM EST (December 22 at 0022 UTC)

The cache is in a black plastic Lock & Lock box.

This cache will remain in place until the Vernal Equinox which takes place on March 20, 2007.

This cache is located within Oakwoods Metropark, a part of the Huron-Clinton Metropolitan Authority park system. A Metropark Vehicle Entry Permit is required: Annual Permit $20. Senior Permit $12. Daily Permit $4.
