On Golden Pond Traditional Cache

On Golden Pond
This is a new boat launch and park the community of Heron and
Sander County established just a year or so ago. It has not been
fully developed yet so it has no restrooms or picnic tables. I
believe they are planning to add those items eventually. This is a
great spot for the locals to swim on the Clark Fork River just a
mile or so west of Heron Montana. If you come down Highway 200
eastbound: Approximately Mile marker 3.8 turn right at the Heron
turn off. (Consider picking up the cache at the watering hole
before the turn) This is called the Heron Cuttoff, about 1 mile
down road Cross the UPSIDE DOWN BRIDGE. Before you cross the tracks
turn onto Golden Pond road - park is about ½ mile Look for sign.
Sign at beginning of Golden Pond states DEAD END but it is a public
road Cache is a small Tupperware with blue lid. Think small when
trading. I don’t want anyone posting a DNF on this one so don’t let
it “tie” you up to long. Not much chance of muggles as the park is
not very popular yet. There are houses on both sides of the park
and the house west of park has a couple dogs that bark a lot but
will never leave their yard. Kiesha and Sharra are very friendly so
