WMRT Pearre Station (The Redneck Riviera) Multi-Cache

I'm culling the herd a bit to allow for a bit more fun this year. No sense in spending good money after bad to keep replacing the same old cache hide(s) when i could just as easily place NEW hides for others to search for and claim NEW smilies.

In the meantime if this cache is missing then by all means if YOU would like to place a new cache here then do so. I know I'd like to hunt for new caches in the area. If the cache IS still in place then I will pick it up on my next visit to the area and will post an "Owner Maintenance" log stating that I've picked it up for recycling or disposal as necessary.

Geocache Description:

Part of the Western Maryland Rail Trail series.

During the heyday of the C&O Canal a small town named Sideling Hill occupied this area. Sideling Hill prospered and gained prominence by providing laborers along the 184 mile stretch of canal. In 1905, as the canal system began to wane, the Western Maryland Rail Way expanded it's tracks westward from Hancock to Cumberland. Shortly thereafter, Sideling Hill was renamed Pearre in honor if Baltimore accountant, George Pearre.

Pearre Station served trains traveling both west and east. Freight loaded in the area typically included crossties from Little Orleans (6 miles west) and apples from Cohill, Potomac Valley, and Hancock. Additionally, Pearre Station shipped Wild Turkeys, American Bison, and Whitetail Deer in and out of the nearby Woodmont Rod and Gun Club. Telegraph operators staffed the railway station around the clock.

Final Cache Container is located at N 39* 38.AAB W 078* 19.CCD where:

A = the first digit in the year the last railroad passengers left Pearre plus the first digit in the year the last railroad passengers left Pearre.
B = the first digit in the year the last railroad passengers left Pearre plus the fourth digit in the year the last railroad passengers left Pearre.
C = the third digit in the year the last railroad passengers left Pearre.
D = the second digit in the day that the last railroad passengers left Pearre.

Final cache container is a blue rimmed rubbermaid container containing a stash note, logbook, pen, pencil, and various swag. Please rehide as well as found.
